Admissions Decisions Class of 2020

Thanks for clarifying on what “attendance” means. We’re still learning!

Accepted  major Business. My heart dropped to the floor when I saw the the phrase “int. undergrad” on the screen and I could not stop smiling for like hours or something.

@LLP OOS from NH 3.83uw:4.56 weighted 1760 SAT (1230 CR/M), 5 varsity letters, academic all-state in basketball. NHS, Math Honor Society, science honor society. Part time job. Tons of volunteer hours coaching basketball and tutoring.

When are OOS decisions being released?

@Canon7130 im not 100% sure but im sure decisions for OOS come out rolling as well

Is it hard to get into engineering if you’re not applying for EA? I applied regular and my scores were in-between, so. Haven’tnheard from them

@RedHerring97 an admissions rep came to my school and said if you’re applying for engineering, you have a very slim shot if you don’t apply ea. It also says that on their website.

Has anyone that got deferred heard back yet?

OOS deferred and still haven’t heard back!

Anyone heard back from honors?

In-state deferred EA and haven’t heard. Even though decisions usually come on Friday, OSU is on Spring Break this week so there might not be any today

Accepted into Engineering Program (Computer Science and Engineering) today. OOS.

How strict is Ohio state on the visual and performing arts requirement?

@pitt2021 Not sure I can answer your question directly, but my S was accepted to Engineering. His high school has Creative Writing & Public Speaking as part of their arts program along with the traditional Art History, Instrumental & Studio Arts classes. His HS requires 1 “Arts” class for graduation. My son took Public Speaking as his “arts requirement”. So, I think that as long as one of the classes you take satisfies your HS’s “Arts” requirement, you are good. At least it did for him.

I got a letter in the mail today saying I was award the Land Grant Opportunity Scholarship and was just wondering if anyone else had also received this award? (I wasn’t aware of this scholarship until today, I’m embarrassed to admit). This came as an exciting surprise, but it definitely helped convince my Mom on where I should go to college.

@kingx16 I also got that today and had no idea it even existed lol. Im excited af though, and it definitely has softened the blow of the rejections I’ve been getting lately.

@HomieDogPlaya yeah, same! I was surprised when it came, I definitely wasn’t expecting to get it. But it convinced my mom, she actually wanted me to go to Miami. It definitely softens the blow for the price of college.

@kingx16 Have you gotten your final financial aid package yet? Because I got an email today saying i would get mine soon…

@HomieDogPlaya I got the same email, but no package yet. I’m hoping for a good financial aid package.
