@BeastOfEarth
Me either
I neither received welcome letter from college of engineering.
Undergraduate Admission Office’s response:
The request you made for a welcome letter from the school of enrollment would be best met by the acceptance letter. If you need a different document specifically from the College of Engineering, they can be reached at https://advising.engineering.osu.edu/contact-us .
My OOS S had been admitted only to the S&T Exploration program, and then yesterday he received a letter from OSU notifying of admission to the CoE. This was a nice surprise, but now he has to decide between PSU and OSU (good problem).
Yes, engineering had gone too selective and is now low on the number of acceptances. So, probably some others who were in S&T exploratory can expect to be moved to being an engineering admit.
Hi! I was accepted to Ohio State and I was just wondering if anyone knows when they will release the final figures for financial aid? Is there a packet that comes that explains the final # we have to pay?
@morganmz I was wondering the same. I went on osu.edu and onto my application status and it has a financial aid section. It had nothing on it except when it received my FAFSA (before the Feb 15th deadline) and a box that said Cost of Attendance and under it 3 boxes - estimated cost of attendance, expected family contribution, and financial aid needed. There are numbers below for each of them, yet they don’t look right. When I went to Award Summary, it was blank. Confusing.
The Financial Aid awards haven’t come out yet which is why that third tab is blank. I had heard that they should come out probably mid month so we aren’t too far away. I’m as anxious as anyone to see what we get!!
@Inocent My D is still waiting. Was deferred early. She’s between UConn and Penn State right now, but OSU will get serious consideration if they say yes.
D is attending OSU in the Fall. On Buckeye Link her “Application Status” is listed as “Attendance.” Other friends of hers that have applied show an Application Status of “Acceptance.” Does anyone know what the difference is between “Acceptance” and “Attendance?” Could it be because she has paid her admission fee and the others have been accepted but not committed (not paid admission fee)? Thanks!
That’s exactly right. “Attendance” means that you paid the acceptance fee. “Accepted” means you have been accepted to the school but have not committed and paid the fee.
Also, we got two postcards from OSU today. One telling us that we should be getting an email soon with directions on how to access your financial aid award. The second told us to expect an email at the end of the month regarding housing requests.
