His essays addressed why he had so many Bs early on–played football and had concussions, grades rose after he quit to focus on school and his programming. He’s been accepted to Purdue so we’re both happy about that.
Your admission stats?
Sorry, @yaytest33-Your admission stats?
I have seen blogs from previous years and it seems as if their admission / scholarship process is consistent year after year, with that being said, upon acceptance you should receive a scholarship package if you qualify within a couple of weeks. I’ve seen anywhere from mid- December if you’ve already received your acceptance notice, to the end of February if you haven’t already been accepted. The National buckeye for OOS, and academic scholarships come together.
Looks like OSU admissions are making progress with more information on profile page. My profile page now has a link to ACCEPT/DECLINE and pay the admission fees. Is anyone else seeing the same on their page, if ADMITTED?
Yes, the link was available for me today.
Does Ohio State place dorm selection based off first come first serve by paying the 100 deposit?
I do not fall into any special categories and was accepted in-state (34, top 1%). That being said, my friends with better stats have not received their decision yet. If you have a 35 and ranked 1/200, there’s no reason you won’t be accepted. Just try to be patient…this process is long for all of us.
Congrats to all accepted so far! I love reading about the future Buckeyes since we were in this situation last year.

@superk25 - Yes, here is what the housing page states (see link above)::
Once you are admitted and pay your Acceptance Fee to the University, you will receive an e-mail with details on how to apply for campus housing. You’ll be able to access your contract online; it is important to fully read the Terms and Conditions of your housing contract, as it is a legally binding document that remains in effect for the entire academic year. The online contract process includes the following:
Sign the Residence Hall Contract
Select a meal plan (all residential students are required to have a meal plan)
Indicate preferences for roommates, visitation patterns and learning community requests
Share a little bit about academic interests and personal habits - if you have a health concern or disability that requires special assignment, please include this
Provide vaccination information
Pay filing and space reservation fees (If under the age of 18, the signature page will need to be printed, signed and returned with the payment for the filing fee and space reservation fee.)
The contracts are typically due three weeks after the email is sent to you. A confirmation of receipt will be sent to your OSU e-mail address. Typically, assignment information will be sent around mid July.

Accepted Engineering (CSE)
OOS - CO
ACT 35
UW GPA 3.98
It says I’m still in evaluation. I’m an in-state resident with 3.77 UW, 3.87 W GPA, 29 ACT, 19/174 rank, 2 APs. I applied around 10/23, major being Environmental & Natural Resources.
I noticed that many of the acceptances so far seem to be from out of state and for some sort of engineering program.
Has anyone receieved their official letter and scholarship information yet?
I’m still in evaluation with a 3.71 W GPA, 32 ACT, and currently taking classes at Ohio State (OSU Academy), I applied on the deadline as a Jewish Studies major. All my out of state friends have gotten in already but I’m still in evaluation, hopefully I get accepted soon.
I was accepted with the first wave with a 3.67 GPA and 29 ACT, in state. I am taking all CCP (college classes) my senior year. I got my official acceptance letter in the mail last week and submitted my acceptance fee three days ago. Go bucks!!
I’m also still in evaluation. I’m OOS with a 32 ACT and a 91 gpa and applied to Fisher for Accounting. Hopefully I’ll find out soon and good luck to everyone else still waiting!
