Admissions Decisions - Class of 2022

@anytown619624, @lc12345, I’ve been refreshing my page for almost six hours LOL. My fingers hurt… Hopefully we all hear soon!!! Good luck!!!

Admitted!
In State
ACT: 32
GPA: 4.0 UW
Major: Neuroscience

My son just got in
ACT 29
SAT 1400
GPA unweighted 3.725
Engineering

@ic12345 I know of someone who was deferred earlier in the day, and I was accepted around 5:30PST but I think it’s hard to tell when they stop deferring/denying people. Looking at the previous wave on 12/15, there were a few people who posted later in the evening (7pm PST or later) that they were deferred. But it’s also possible they found out/their app status was updated earlier in the day and they just posted late.

@oreo32 I’m pretty sure my son has some kids on his floor that are not in his scholars program (maybe the rooms are scholars and the suites are upperclassmen who aren’t in scholars?). I think the scholars programs are meant to be relatively small communities and therefore I assume there aren’t any scholars groups that take a whole dorm.

Finally Admitted!
Out of state
ACT: 32
W GPA: 4.12
Engineering

When my second son left home around 815 EST his portal still said “evaluation”. And he has infinitely more patience than his mother and therefore won’t check again until he gets home or until he wakes up tomorrow morning. I won’t bug him (until morning  because I’m thankful he has more patience than me.

Admitted!
How much longer does it normally take to be notified if you are accepted into your major?

Accepted
OOS
35
1540
weighted GPA won’t mean much but As
Undecided

Comparing with UIUC and Purdue, for the students who apply for the STEM majors, OSU treats them much nicer. OSU is always a great university!

Still waiting :frowning:

Accepted
SAT 1460
GPA 4.0 (Weighted)

International

Application portal still says processing even though I submitted 10/29, what does this mean

@collegeco18 I may be wrong… but I believe OSU does require that all of your required materials be received by Nov 1 (including tests, etc) so if you didn’t budget time for these additional aspects you may not have met the EA deadline

see I applied before deadline but I retook the act and mine says evaluation but my application date turned in is before the 1st and my school said I could turn in my transcript and act score later they just need the application, cause the act didn’t go in till the 4th. @university2022

My friend’s SAT didn’t go in until the 7th, but was still admitted… I guess as long as you submitted the application on time and tried to get all the materials in, you’re fine

Accepted
Out of State
ACT: 34
GPA UW: 3.89
Many extracurricular activities including NHS officer, Volunteer firefighter, almost an Eagle Scout, and President of my youth group.

Public Policy major

Does anyone know when you hear back from the scholars/honors programs and when you find out if you got scholarships?

Still waiting. I wonder if there are certain majors that they aren’t releasing yet. My daughters applied for Industrial Design.

@collegeco18 Mine says the same thing and I remember calling admissions the day after the deadline because my checklist said it was incomplete and the lady told me they received everything it just wasn’t processed. As long as you turn in everything by nov.1 you meet EA. I’m currently still waiting so I understand where you’re coming from.

If I do not get accepted/denied/deferred today without them letting me know it will be longer I am going to be very frustrated. I am visiting Michigan State next week and was going to drive to Ohio…but idk what my decision is.
