I used to live in South Bend. We have lots of friends and family there, my mom has heard from a few people that letters are being mailed in the immediate future….that could change, but based on last year I think everyone will know by next week.
I guess there isn’t any reason for them to deviate from their release date from years past, since there haven’t been any problems this year that would postpone decisions, so it would make sense if decisions were mailed out Friday.
I’m guessing they will be mailed tomorrow, if consistent with prior years. We are sure D will be rejected, and this will be a bummer of a start to spring break. We’ll probably receive it Saturday and her admitted student visit to Saint Mary’s is Sunday/Monday. As a ND parents, let me offer congrats to those that are accepted. It is an incredible place.
I live in South Bend, and applied to ND–they’re almost positively mailing them tomorrow. Pretty sure there were several people in this area who already got letters, as I personally know someone who got rejected earlier this week.
@DolceDolce A classmate knew someone in the south bend area who also got rejected earlier this week, not sure what to make of it save that the letters are coming soon.
Those rejections are likely to kids of faculty and staff at ND. They let some know ahead of time that they didn’t get in as a courtesy. There is a huge tuition benefit if those kids get into ND.
@nervousfreshie I think int’ls get an email around when domestics get the letter so that they don’t feel behind. Since int’l mail may take a while, an email is sent out so they don’t have to wait weeks
