Admissions Decisions

@npswimmer44‌ thanks man!

@Homeless2Harvard‌ You’re welcome! Good luck!! :slight_smile:

The Good Lord will put us where he wants us! Decisions are out: Prayers, Prayers, Prayers.

I didn’t get invited to the Spring Visitation Weekend, and I’m a minority. Should I take that as a sign of rejection?

Nope. I know many minorities who did not get invited but got in.

@houseofcards1 yes, that is correct!!
Goodluck to all! :slight_smile:

Is it too much to hope for the letter to come in the mail today? I’m only 3 hours away from ND :’(

I’m only about 10 minutes away from ND and my letter didn’t come in the mail today. Several of my friends (South Bend area) have already received letters but it I haven’t heard of any acceptances, just denials and wait listing (which leads me to speculate that perhaps they send those letters out first). Hopefully we’ll all find out soon!

@sblocal‌ thanks for that info! Makes the disappointment of not getting anything today a lot less haha

You are correct that those letters came out first. I was denied (not local, but close) and a few friends from South Bend were denied and wait listed yesterday. A few others we know who I almost guarantee will be admitted (in SB) didn’t receive anything yet. I believe they mailed the wait list and denial first and acceptances after.

@dcin67 Thank you for posting. Sorry about the outcome. You are very gracious to get on here and post what you know. Best of luck to you!

Thank you. I knew Notre Dame was a very, very long shot for me, but my dream, and so it still made me extremely sad to get that no letter. Best of luck to each of you, to those of you who get in and get to attend Notre Dame I can’t even describe for you how lucky and blessed you should feel.

I’m about 2.5 hours away from ND (Chicago suburbs) and I didn’t get anything today. I’m hoping this is good news though if what people say about them sending out acceptances later than rejections is true

I’m about 20 minutes away from ND. I didn’t get anything today, but I was deferred REA and was the first person to post on that thread. I’m hoping everyone is getting in! Good luck everyone! :slight_smile:

Does anybody know when the rejections were mailed?

@lisaol I don’t think all of the rejections were mailed. It seems like just some of the local ones were.

With decisions being in the mail, why have the internationals not gotten emails yet? Can anyone help please? Thank you

@Admission371‌ ND said they would email international applications the 23rd I believe due to the time it takes for mail to get to domestic applicants.

I think they mail everything at the same time. The difference in delivery times could relate to 1. the size of the envelopes (larger acceptance envelopes may not travel as fast as smaller wait list/denied 2. delivery location 3.just sheer luck in processing time with the USPS.

@npswimmer44 Thank you. Will hold my breath till 23rd.
