So this means that not everyone is getting theirs? It's just.... random? There's more than one wave of acceptances for Wes?

Hey congratulations everybody! Come to WesFest.

Is the admitted students forum working for anyone?

I hate to be stupid, but what is URM?

URM = under-represented minority

Hey! I just got my packet today too!! I totally flipped--mom texted me while I was at a speech and debate tournament and said that there was a big envelope waiting for me at home, but wouldn't say where from...Wes didn't even cross my mind! I had no idea they sent anything out early.

I'm so excited! Though I don't know if I can actually go--Wes didn't give me ANY financial aid. :( Does anyone know how flexible their FA office is re: unusual circumstances?

I'm in (Southern) California too. Not URM, just generic white female with interest in political science.

is there a point to posting stats? it sort of looks like (maybe) California admit letters in general were sent out?

i am a urm from nj and i haven't received anything yet. i am worried that if they did send something, they sent it to my boarding school address, and i am home for spring break. ugh. does anyone know why they don't post decisions online?

aeshchina, I'm having the same problem with the admitted students forum. I think they just haven't fully set it up yet, since the majority of acceptances haven't gone out yet.

I got my acceptance package on Saturday! It was totally unexpected. And I live in New Mexico, for anyone who cares...

I haven't tried the admitted students website yet..

I live in New Mexico, too! No package, though, unfortunately.

Thanks for responding Adaman - good to know I'm not the only one.

Pretty excited for WesFest, but I suppose I need to hear back from my other colleges too...

just got mine here in california!!!

=)))

it looks like no one from the midwest has heard...bummer.
Congrats to everyone! I'm really excited to hear, no matter what the decision is.

Lots of California notifications!!

I don't think I can make it to WesFest...it's a pretty long and expensive trek from LA. Are the rest of you thinking of going?

I'll probably go, unless I somehow decide on another school before then.

I don't know if I'm gonna go or not...I want to wait and hear back from the rest of my schools first. It's quite a trip from NM and I don't really have the time or money so I dunno.

I wish I had gotten a financial aid package from Wes, but my noncustodial parent hasn't sent in his taxes yet, soo....

I'm really excited about all of this, though! First acceptance letter of my life. Nice memory.

Oh...and nice to have another New Mexican here, gub!
Where I live in NM, no one has even heard of Wes...lol.

I'm from a pretty weird town where people generally know their schools so people would be quite impressed if I actually got in (though I probably won't). 3 other people at my school applied, so who knows what will happen.

I got an email today from the dean of admissions saying that he really wants me to go to Wesfest, and visit. He explained that that was one of the reasons why my acceptance was sent early. So, maybe the reason why only some of us have gotten stuff so far, is if we aren't close to CT and they want to give us more time to make arrangements. So don't freak if you haven't gotten something yet.

I just got my acceptance via email, it said "I hope by now you have received your acceptance packet and financial aid information"... (I haven't, so I was surprised by this email.)

It also said that the admissions rep who read my app and does my area will be calling me in a few days.

Shoot... guess that means I need to find out a bit about this school.
I still don't even know what kind of finaid they offered! GAH.
