Hmm, no email yet for me.

I really hope they get the admitted student forum up and running soon. I have a lot of questions about course stuff and housing, etc..

have any internationals received emails or packages in the mail?

Piratemonkey, I'm in Germany, I got the email this morning.
But, that doesn't mean anything... these emails seem to be going out early, just because you don't have one yet... you might still get in.

mmmm ok it's still worrying though :S

urg. no mail for me. It's really stressful waiting! :)

Hey guys, the admitted student forum is working now!

^Yay!

I got the email today...he said, "One reason we wanted you to hear about your admission as early as possible is so you could plan to visit campus." So, I guess that's why some of us found out early. Don't worry! :)

hmm. I live on long island. I guess that's kinda close. Oh well. I wish they'd just send everyone's out now. But congrats to everyone who's heard!!

how do I get to the admitted students forum?

^^ ditto the question above
patrolling the wesleyan website has yielding nothing. same goes for my misc. google searches... "wesleyan admitted students forum" did get some interesting wikipedia articles on student unions at wesleyan, though.

The link is in the acceptance packet. Here it is: http://www.wesleyan.edu/admission/admit/

My son has heard nothing, but I went to the forum and typed in the email address and a password.

I got a message that we were added to the mailing list.

Would that happen if my son wasn't accepted?

unfortunately, being able to access the forum says nothing as to whether your son was accepted. any email address that is typed in is accepted. this doesn't mean he was rejected, but access doesn't imply anything...

I wish I hadn't tried - I'm more impatient than my son.

For those accepted, did you receive any congratulating emails from Wesleyan in addition to the big packages?

I have yet to get an email from Wesleyan, and I got my acceptance package on Friday, March 14th.

when do you think they'll send out the "second wave" of letters?

as long as there are only two "waves" (early and regular), then the next, and final, wave should be just about two weeks away... the bulk of the decisions are usually sent right around april 1

Congrats to those admitted! Care to share what was in the "package"? Did Wes send a "big envelope," a folder?? I'm quite anxious, but probably won't hear until the official notifiction date, since I'm from NY...

It's a big package with a red folder inside. you'll know immediately. the folder is pretty cool, neatly organized, with a car sticker and (i don't know about everyone else) a personal note from my interviewer that mentioned random stuff we talked about in my interview.
