Ohio state is one of my top choices but I cannot stand their ea decision system. Yes they get thousands of applicants but I still wish they had a more organized way of sending out decisions.
@ohiogirl1 @littledrose no one knows for certain unless someone calls admissions. I’m currently not in the position to call. Their office probably closes at 5 PM today so somebody can call now if they really want to know.
Has anyone else received a phone call (ours was actually a vm) from someone at OSU congratulating the student on acceptance? We missed the call and they said they would be calling back from the same number. Just wondering if there was any other information shared if you talked live with the caller.
@jjulesjenks My son got the same call in December but we missed it as well. We got one of these calls from another school as well. I think it is just outreach to encourage you to accept
Yeah my dad got a call from a student at osu (I think? I could be wrong) in December and I was in a youth orchestra rehearsal and I missed it. They said they’d call back but never did lol
I found out that I selected scholars, mistakenly, and they’ve changed it as of this past week. When do you think that I’ll get a notification?
Really hoping for it to be this week, but I guess we’ll just have to find out 
What time(s) are decisions typically released?
They start should start sending decisions around 3-3:30
Typically, they start at around 4-5pm-ish, then continue late into the evening. Usually ending around 10 or 11pm. Eastern time.
I’m not sure why they do it this way. Perhaps to not overload their systems?
I looked back at last year’s admissions thread, and the decisions came on 1/19 and 1/26. We can all hope for today, but next Friday is more likely.
You’re probably right, but it would be nice if they released the few hundred decisions they’ve made between Dec 14 and today. Just sayin’.
Honestly I really hope the next round of OSU decisions come out today, not only because it’s killing me on the inside anxiously waiting, but because I’m still trying to decide if I should send out some more apps to safety schools. I would get full tuition at ~3 OOS schools I’m looking at right now, which is a great deal. I am debating on sending the apps out, because it would be a waste of money if I got into OSU and then end up going there. The issue is the deadline for some of these is Dec. 15th. Oh joy.
@STEM2019 me too. Technically it looks like theylll be sending out two rounds of decisions this month, if they space them out correctly (every Friday) the first batch of decisions would be this week, and the next would be January 25th. But then someone mentioned earlier on the thread they did it with one week of the other. So I’m not sure. ):
