Admissions Discussion/Decisions - Class of 2023

@equationlover definitely apply to any good school that you think will offer you full rides. You never know what school will award a full ride. A full ride will save big $$$ and then you can use it for a Masters and/or Phd

@iamamom3 Yes son received a letter with both NBS & M scholarship offers on Wednesday.

Still could be possible, wait and see if anyone gets a decision.

I was admitted on November 18th, yet I had not received any notifications for scholarships. So does this mean that I am not qualified for any scholarships?

I’m getting worried with not having a decision, and then as time goes on not having a very good chance at Morrill Scholars as decisions for those keep coming out.

TL;DR as time goes on with no decision yet, my chances decrease for getting Morrill Scholars.

More will come out after the next wave of EA decisions

One more week…

Any hope for this coming Friday?

@buckeye1278 the speculation is that it’s most likely going to come out this Friday.

I hope.

Does anyone know how many get Morrill scholarships?

About 300 Morrill Scholarships are awarded per year.

Very worried about decisions Friday.
Applied 10/30 w/ 28 act and 4.0uw/4.2w gpa

So if we haven’t received any notifications about scholarships, does it mean we didn’t get any? That is pretty much the only way that I will be able to afford to go to OSU…

I don’t think that is the case. Decisions are still coming out, so I wouldn’t worry until February.

I personally think it’s a bit of a disadvantage that they release Morrill Scholars and acutal decisions on a rolling basis. If you are admitted the very last round, it isn’t too fair because you won’t be evaluated for Morrill Scholars later than everyone else and those decisions are coming out as of now. Just my .02 cents…

It would probably be more fair if they waited for all EA applicants decisions to be out, THEN do Morrill Scholars. But I understand that would be a lot of work for them.

So I am just patiently waiting for my decision.

So what EXACTLY happens when your application is updated? Will it update from evaluation from “rejected” “deferred” “waitlisted” “accepted” or whatever?

ALSO GOOD AWESOME GREAT AMAZINGLY STUPENDOUS LUCK EVERYONE . !!!

@SiglerOSU2019 if you are accepted it changes from ‘evaluation’ to ‘admitted’

My OOS daughter was accepted first round and recently received International Scholars acceptance. But, we’ve heard nothing on Morrill, Buckeye, Provost, etc. Starting to worry she won’t get any merit money.
