No idea
someone said in this thread that admissions confirmed that they would send them out on Thursday?
I remember in past waves some people received their decisions late at night. There’s still a possibly that some people could hear tonight
This is a BIG turn off, we’ve been waiting 4 months while some people applied Nov 1st and got a decision 3 weeks later. At this point, if not accepted EA, Kid is gonna go elsewhere. Meanwhile thousands of admitted applicants still are not even sure if they want to attend tOSU.
So I went to last years thread and checked, there was no wave on the 31st and some people on January 30th said “still evaluation and no notice, anyone in the same boat?” I’m a bit confused because those people didn’t say anything else, so what is going on? Lol
@TayMarie I spoke with Admissions on Tuesday and was informed there would be more notifications between today and the 31st. My daughter is still Evaluation. Any other Pre Data Analytics majors waiting.
@BuckAlum1 Totally agree with you. I applied 4 months ago. I don’t understand how OSU thinks this is an acceptable way of releasing decisions. OSU is my top school but I’m starting to become extremely frustrated and don’t think I am willing to deal with waiting any longer if I get deferred.
I do understand they did not say we would receive any information prior to January 31st, but it is very frustrating when my application was submitted on October 6th and people who applied November 1st heard months ago. tOSU is my top choice and I am getting very upset and discouraged at this point. Wishing all those who have not heard back yet good luck, and to those admitted congratulations!!
Yeah I agree, OSU probably has the worst way of releasing decisions out of any college I applied to, it’s my number one college as well and they should do it in some specific way, either release it all on the same day, or do it in order of first come first serve, or anything to just let us know or have some idea as to when we’ll hear back, this is unbearable.
Applied on August 1st. Still in evaluation. Go Blue.
Not to mention causing stress is the last thing they should want for their applicants. All of us are stressed enough as it is by the college application process. So upsetting.
Makes you question how other parts of the university are run. Not a good first experience at all with OSU. Daughter still in evaluation.
My older sister goes there and from what I hear the worst things that have happened that I know of are being placed in the worst dorm her freshman year (though I believe that they built a better dorm for freshman) and that when she was applying for an internship over the summer the school didn’t really help her with that process when being asked. School as in most likely their programs that should most likely be helping that. She’s currently a junior as well.
I am so disappointed. @classof20192023 I applied a day after you on October 7 and I am still in evaluation. I am just expecting a a deferral or rejection now,
@littledrose the good news is that since the replies are released randomly so whenever you hear doesn’t mean you got accepted denied or deferred
Based on the stats it looks like today’s wave of admissions was for students with 28-29 ACTs.
@Watch37 I don’t think they necessarily send out decisions according to ACTs…if that were the case then I would have received my decision today haha
The waiting game is definitely going to influence my decision
Still in evaluation. Saw some people post acceptances with A&S (psychology) majors (my daughter’s intended major); saw some post acceptances in-state (my daughter is in-state too); saw some post acceptances with 28 ACT (which is what my daughter received); saw similar GPAs too (3.85). What the heck does it take to have her application placed into a batch where we are no longer in limbo?!?!
My daughter applied in August and after almost 6 months, she is STILL under evaluation. She has been accepted to University of Wisconsin in Madison, Purdue Engineeing and 6 other schools; the way that OSU releases decision is horrendous and my daughter has lost all interest in the school. If OSU is listening, you can keep the decision in secret forever because we don’t care anymore.
