Admissions Discussion/Decisions - Class of 2023

.

Is there anyone who got in with a 33 ACT and 3.3-3.4 GPA?

Is this for regular decision?

@NP2001 I am really shocked and disappointed for you. If OSU is up there in terms of your school of choice I would make sure that your mid-year transcript and any other things that may boost your application are sent to the university.

Still in evaluation

@artsyg Should deferred students expect to hear back in late March and not in the February round?

still in evaluation.

So at this point are there only admits and deferred? I haven’t seen anyone say they were rejected?

@stebs28 I called today, and they said I could send my updated transcript.

what if we don’t get an answer tonight? Should we just assume we were deferred?

Just relax  Due to the earlier school shutdown, I would not be surprised that EA notifications are dragged to tomorrow.

Daughter deferred with over a 3.8, 35 ACT, 1540 SAT, Nat’l Merit Semifinalist and every ap/honors class offered. Wondering if 2nd child should just take the easier path in HS if it is this random.

@dadmanwalking Are you kidding?? Those Stats are amazing… Was she applying for Engineering???

No, Arts and Sciences

@wannababuckeye I emailed it to my advisor, they sent it directly to the school, Idk how.

I have checked every day since the beginning of November. If I got in I would go in a heartbeat. Pretty upset after waiting all this time to just find out I have to wait some more, but hey I guess that’s life. Wishing everyone luck on the next round.

Does anyone have any tips for how to increase chances of admission after being deferred? I will be sending in an updated transcript because my gpa has gone from a 3.64 to a 3.83, but other than that I feel helpless. I was accepted to Case but it’s SO expensive so I really need to be accepted to OSU.

Seeing the stats of some of the deferrals are extremely upsetting. Many of these applicants deserved to get in and exceed standards. I know someone called admissions and they said they reviewed everyone’s applications but I truly feel like they are just obligated to say that in order to prevent any complaints. It really makes me think that they just didn’t get the chance to spend time on many of these students applications. Am I the only one that feels this way? Best of luck to everyone who was deferred and congrats to all who were accepted!
