Hey.. For those who have already been accepted, or even rejected, what did "the letter" look like?

For those admitted:
If you can remember, what did it say, and what did the packet come with?
Was it a think envelope?

For those rejected:
Did you know you were rejected before you opened the envelop?

My son was accepted last April and the acceptance came in a thick, large envelope that included all sorts of information, a CD, a decal and a very nice touch...a gold sunburst thingy on the outside of his packet of stuff that said, ___________________(<-----insert name here), Class of 2009.

I would assume, based on the couple of rejections that my son received, that you would be able to tell if it were a rejection letter before opening it. It would be a business-sized envelope and thin.

All of my son's various acceptances came in big, thick envelopes. ~b.

^^^ Agree, acceptance generally = big thick packet with a bunch of stuff in it, rejection = regular sized envelope, thats how all of mine came

If you do ED the deferred letter comes in the same size envelope as a rejection letter...so if you're doing ED you won't know if it's a reject or defer til you open it.

Yes...acceptance is a huge package...it comes in a nice cardboardish thing too with a folder inside that has a cute little sticker that says "_______________ (your name) Class of 2009." It's quite awesome:)

Of course last year we found out online both ED and RD before anything came in the mail.

I checked online...the letter started with "Congratulations!" That's how I knew.
