I am nervous because my final transcript may have a C on it. It is only down from a B- at midyear and it is an AP class. Does anyone know if I should be nervous about this or if I am over-reacting? (i.e. does anyone know a guy who knows a guy who had his or her admissions revoked?)

They admitted you with a B- and they would rescend if it slips to a C? Relax.

They would rescend for a felony, not a C

I saw this on new posts, and I have to agree with above. You represent about $50K a year to Cornell, so they would need a very very good reason to not let you in, which would be closer to assult with a deadly weapon than a C in an AP class. The final transcript mainly tells them you graduated.

I got accepted to Cornell with C's and C- in my physics class all throughout my junior year. You have nothing to worry about.

So what's C? is it around 70? I'm having same trouble and my AP Chem grade dropped down from 85 to about 70...

Yeah, C's are the 70 range!

2 D+'s, 1 C, no As and a moderate criminal record will get u rescinded

trust me on this one.

...define "moderate" :)

You didn't kill the store clerk, only paralyzed him

moderate i mean, intoxicated while attempting to evade cops...with 4 of your friends in the car all completely f'd up.

oh yeah, i didnt even have a license.

You need to chill. It's really not that serious...

wavebrk088, did you get your admissions rescinded and then apply as a transfer???

ohh so thats what happened. no wavebrk just had to wait a year

no i have no idea...i just thought that i read that he was a transfer student? i could be wrong

SexyScorpio-

how many C`s did you get? o.O

A student from my D's school got a few Cs his senior year. Cornell sent him a letter outlining extra work he had to do over the summer to make up for it (apparently it was more work than he had done his whole senior year). The letter from Cornell to this student has been the "LETTER" circulated to all seniors every spring. I don't know if other kids with Cs have received similar letter.

Get used to C's.. you'll C them a lot at Cornell..
