I am very worried that I am at risk for being rescinded from Cornell. I've been accepted through ED but I just got a C for an AP class for the semester!

What should I do??

Thanks

stop freaking out. you wont get rescinded

Did you get arrested for drugs? Did you get an F? Did you get suspended?

If you answered no to the above questions, you chances of getting rescinded is virtually 0.

what if you are applying RD, got a C in AP Bio this quarter, and have to send the mid year report in with the C glaring?

Well, from what I understand, Cornell is very finicky about it’s ED applicants and a C is NOT going to look good on your transcript. I’d say there’s a good chance you’ll get rescinded, and that really sucks if you’ve already retracted your other apps, because then you’ll have to start school in the spring. Hopefully that doesn’t happen, but I think it probably will.

I seriously doubt that’s true.

I should probably expand on my last comment. If you get rescinded, which is virtually certain, and then apply in the spring, you’ll probably get rejected everywhere you apply. Actually, I’m surprised you got into cornell at first if you get Cs, but then again Cornell seems to be getting less and less competitive recently. Honestly I don’t even know why you’re applying to such a bad school. I only got a 2390 on my sat (I’m sure I beat you) and my plans are to go to Harvard or Columbia. But then again, once I get out of college, I’ll need people to serve me food, do my laundry and I guess I cornell grad would be qualified for that, though I’d keep my good tux away from them.

Are you serious? Ok, now I’m starting to get extremely worried. :(

…this abemoon person…■■■■■?

■■■■■… but funny ■■■■■

Isn’t there a sticky somewhere that says “A C won’t kill you”?

haha qungun, don’t worry, your acceptance wouldn’t be rescinded (although a D rather than an F might just do it). Honestly, I think people who are way too overstressed about this sort of stuff need a little bit of “humor”, even if it’s in the worst taste. Kudos abemoon, you may be an *******, but this thread really needed a ■■■■■ like you.

Hey, abemoon, read the third submission on [Urban Dictionary: Cornell University](Urban Dictionary: Cornell University)

:)

I feel like abemoon is trying to be funny in a sarcastic way, but his sarcasm is just coming off more jerk-like than funny.

Abemoon is just bitter about his failed high school career and bleak future. In fact the “people” he describes in his last post are what he dreads he will eventually become.

On topic: Pretty sure you have a 0.01% chance of getting your acceptance rescinded with a C.

That’s a relief. My teachers just randomly decided to get a lot harder.

Maintain about a 3.0-3.3 without a D and you’ll be fine is my general advice.

I got a C in a class my senior year, and I didn’t get rescinded.

i think abemoon is hilarious, especially because his post was taken seriously by the OP. this thread is a joke, one C wont do much of anything, although more than one or a D might
