Admissions Statistics: College of Engineering vs. Letters & Science

Hi,

Does anyone have the admissions statistics for the College of Engineering versus the College of Letters and Science? Average UC GPA, SAT range, admit %? I've heard the difference between the two is significant.

[Looking for StatFinder? | UCOP](http://statfinder.ucop.edu) had plenty of statistics, but it is no longer available.

Note that the College of Engineering admits by major, unlike the College of Letters and Science.

Last set of COE stats was from 2009: http://coe.berkeley.edu/faculty/faculty-meetings-college-committees/faculty-meeting-spring-2009/Undergraduate%20Admissions%20Committee.doc</a>, last page.

Also wondering about the admission stats of the College of Chemistry.

(UCB is the only major university which has a dedicated college for Chemistry and Chemical Engineering ! Go Bear !)

I had seen somewhere on the Berkeley engineering website that the last year the acceptance rate was about 13%. The link provided by AskMsSun gives an acceptance rate of about 17%. It seems the acceptance rate has dropped by 4% in 3 years. Considering that the application rate is going to be even higher this year, does anyone have thoughts on how bad it is going to get this year?
I had not noticed until recently that acceptance rate at Berkeley engineering is in similar range as MIT and Caltech (10-12%).
