I recently applied to UCSD and am worried about getting in, just looking for some thoughts on if I may or may not get in?
I am an in-state student with a 4.08 UC GPA 1840 SAT
Taken plenty of APs and passed all exams
Captain of varsity volleyball team
Four years of volleyball team
Two years of club volleyball
Two years JV basketball
CSF member
Interact secretary
Spanish Honors Society member
ASB secretary
Student leadership member
Coached 8th grade volleyball at middle school for four years
Volunteered at local food pantry for two years
Participated in youth exchange program to Germany
Volunteered at hospice thrift store
First generation college student
GPA looks good but SAT score is below average. UCSD is a Low Reach based on stats. Your essays and EC’s could boost your chances but too difficult to determine by how much. Good luck
Low SAT score may hit you hard, but if you’re going a student athlete it may help. If you’re at least in the top 5-6% in your year, generally you’re safe.
Your SAT is lower for UCSD but I think your EC’s will help you a lot.
