Can anyone tell me if attending one of Rice's Admit Days (April 13, 20, or 27) would give me a sufficient feel for the school? I'm seriously considering Rice, but I'm worried that a one-day program isn't going to give me an accurate impression of the school. It's possible for me to attend the Owl Days, but the timing makes it very, very inconvenient, and my parents prefer that I attend an Admit Day instead. Would this be a good idea? :/

Well, it's like Owl Days but without the overnight experience. I'm just a prospie but I think you would still be able to get a good feel for the school.

The program has changed since last year, when I came to Owl Days, but Owl Days (with the overnight) was absolutely what made me want to come to Rice, and I would be very sad if I hadn't had that experience.

I don't know what exactly they are planning on doing on the Admit Days, but you would probably get a fairly good feel for Rice by attending one of them, though I doubt you would get near as comprehensive an experience as you would through Owl Days. Quite a bit of the Owl Days experience can be at night.
