I think they are doing the best they can in Admissions, but find it hard to think they could guarantee a date and time. That said, you never know!

how late do they work at the admission office?

Says I got invited to the wait list, but the application is still in review paragraph is still there. Anyone else hear back or know what that means?

just got capped :/

Anyone here instate top 8%? Have you heard from your school?

Actually, I think many schools do state an exact date and time, at least that is what I recall from last year with my other son. Duke, for one, and many of the IVY’s all posted on or about the same day by 3:00 or so. I even vaguely remember Berkeley and UCLA letting him know when the decisions were going to be posted. I could be wrong though!

Son just go denied : (

OOS 2130 SAT 4.6 GPA Lots of APs and Honors. Applied to Biology.

@anotherlamemom- that’s ridiculous that he was denied…with those stats? I would Appel if that’s his first choice.

What does being CAP’ed mean? I’m seeing this a lot and I am unfamiliar with the term…

So I wrote that out in all caps but it changed it to normal text…totally takes out all of my emotion. D:

@arvhaax93 it means you have the choice to go to a UT satellite school for a year and if you make a 3.2 cumulative gpa and take 30 hours of coursework w/ a grade of C or above, you get an automatic transfer to UT austin

Everyone who has been cap’ed, rejected, and accepted, are you in-state?! I’m in Dallas and mine still says I’m in review.

I didn’t get into my first nor second choice major (Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering respectively) I’m going to UT anyway to transfer internally.

Same! I’m in Houston and mine still says in review.

carmom23 = thanks! We knew it was going to be hard for OOS, but we were hoping.
