Admit revoke-fearing senior...

for top colleges (ranked 5-20 usnwr), would it be a possibility that admission be revoked with grades of:

calcbcAP: D
civicsAP: B
span4AP: B
eng4AP: A
eurohist: A
worldissues: A

3.17 unweighted, but will the D seriously jeopardize me?

Yes, it would. Don't get a D, but try not to drop. Both sort of suck but the D will hurt more. Write a letter explaining your circumstances to all schools involved as soon as you know enough to.

dude, don't worry about it. Very few people have their admissions revoked except to state schools. Very many people are having trouble with BC Calc this year, three other A's shows you're working what that you're working in the classes that interest you. There's all these stories of someone-knows-someone-who... but really it's more of an exigent myth than reality. Don't kill anyone or plagiarize in your local town newspaper. Colleges will understand that second semester, you are both trying to relax and meditating on a sort of threshold-of-your-life. A

And don't pay much attention to the spate of outraged posts that this one is bound to foment. Seriously, College Confidential needs to come to grasps with its puritan ethical heritage.

enjoy.

I heard (from this forum) that someone got into Rice with a D in math. Don't worry about it too much. Try to get it up to a C if you're really scared. One or two Cs won't get you rescinded but going from a 4.0 to a 2.5 will.

play it safe, get that D up to a C-! do what you gotta do

I agree, get that to a C if you can.

calc's the one that always gets people...try your hardest NOT to get a D...offers of admission DO get revoked, though not often. but a D will get you a phone call from all the schools that admit you...possibly a revocation.

thanks for all the replies! if i'm also receiving merit based aid from a school i've been accepted to, the scholarships be rescinded more easily than the admission? or would both go hand in hand? thanks!
