Admitted and Denied

i cant find who, but mainly anyone was accepted in to Georgetown SFS my dream college, if you can help it would be appreciated claysoul.

I know there are some folks on this board who've gotten into Gtown SFS. I reccomend scanning this thread and finding some people who list Gtown in their accepted column. Either that or start a thread calling all those who got accepted!

I didn't apply, and I really don't know a lot about Gtown so I can't offer you much help. Wish I could! This forum is great though -- just start some threads and attract people. Post on the transfer board adn the gtown board.

yes thanks alot!! =]

does know anything about applying to brown without SAT scores. Their admissions department told me that as long as my current institution did not require them, i dont need them for brown either.

you don't "need" them but they are HIGHLY reccomended. Translation: You need them.

claysoul you know anything about WUSTL or UVA?

I know a fair amount about WUSTL. dont' hae time to elaborate but I'll get back to you! Don't have a clue about UVA

One more transfer question: How did you know which courses are transferable? Are the core requirement courses about the same nationwide? How about some of the more "advanced courses," such as Linear Algebra and Diff. Eq.? Will I have to contact my desired college to see if these will transfer?

In response to the thread:

Admitted: UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCI, UCD, UCSB (ok I went application crazy), U Penn, U Michigan-Ann Arbor, U Washington

Rejected: none

ClaySoul, what do you know about Swat? Why did you choose Brown? I'm having a tough time b/c I did better when I applied to transfer at places than I'd thought I would, so as opposed to you I actually didn't put ENOUGH effort into figuring out what I wanted before I had to choose where to transfer. I suppose if I do well this year for a semester, I could maybe transfer again, so I want to know all I can about the colleges I thought about now. (I was accepted to Carleton, UChicago, Swarthmore. I think it was in part killer essays (which I will NOT share on CC hehe) Chose UChicago, because closer to home and more options -such as taking grad school classes. I wanted academic rigour, with liberal students and good Bio, PoliSci, ES programs. I wanted interactive learning environments. Did you get to visit Swat and sit in on classes for instance?
