is this 'add feed' button under 'my portal/my RSS'?
it works for me too, but i think it'll work for everyone with an account to check their app status.. i mean, why wouldn't it?

i really hope you are right, hsstudent, but i don't want to get freaked out about nothing.. yet

"Thank you for applying to Amherst College. We are busily updating the "My Amherst" portal for applicants to the Class of 2013. To learn more about the "My Amherst" features, check back April 1 when the new portal becomes active."

I saw that message, but what's with the student view v. Applicant view thing? I see what looks similar to the student profile on my "my Amherst"...I'm going to give them a call..

Mine has my interests updated with my real information and this is in the financial aid section:
2009: Application Complete, Award Info Available
Administrator Administrator Today 12:15 am
The current requirements for your 2009 aid application are complete. A financial aid determination has been made. You may review your awards.

When I navigate there I can't find an award, so I'm going to have to guess it doesn't mean anything. I didn't expect to be accepted.

"Applicants for admission to Amherst College will be provided with accounts and will see in their portals the Amherst College Announcements, news from the Office of Admission, and (if they wish) their financial aid information. Applicants cannot add feeds."

I see what you're saying now. But I still think it has no significance. We may be able to add feeds, but we don't have tabs like "My Academics" or "AC Data."

I was accepted early decision to Amherst and I don't have anything like that on mine...so if it's not there don't worry...it probably doesn't mean anything.

I have the add feed as well- it seems like everyone has it so I doubt that it means anything. Some of us (i.e. me) will most certainly be rejected.

Haha. well, I feel like I'm going to have a nervous breakdown soon ;p I have 2,5 weeks of school left and almost every day is filled with a test or a mock exam. Waiting for decisions even adds more stress.
Luckily, I have admitted to myself that I won't get into my dream school, so if I do, it will be a great surprise! :)

Son checked his out and he has tabs for what he'd like to study as well as one for Men's Football. Do they put those "links" there? I say none of it means a thing because for one, this is an entirely new portal and so there will be bugs. Plus.. I am betting that at least for some of you who think you don't have a chance, you do.
