My son was just admitted off the waitlist into LSA. No mention of Ross on acceptance. I know that students are notified of Ross admissions after LSA admissions, but son needs to accept his position into class of 2021 in the next 7 days per the admissions letter. No one is answering phone at Ross. Recommendations on how to determine if son will be accepted into Ross, too?
I doubt they will admit from the wait list admit. First, they don’t really need to fill all the pre-admit seats at Ross as they leave 20% of the class for sophomore. Second, if they do need to admit more, it would be likely from the RD admitted pool.
Ross probably already filled up its freshman pre-admit class. It sent out final decisions including rejections in late-April. Also, I think that if you get rejected pre-admit you cannot apply to ross again. Call Ross again for confirmation.
My daughter also admitted from waitlist LSA and wants to do business. She is direct admit to Wisconsin business and trying to decide if she should switch. Thoughts on Wisconsin business vs Michigan LSA? If they can’t get into Ross, what are chances to apply later to minor in business at Michigan?
What does she want to study? Tell her to look at the curriculum for Wisconsin business and the curriculum for LSA and whatever major she might want there. Make a spreadsheet of the ACTUAL COURSES she’d be taking. That would give her the answer. She cannot apply to Ross again if she was rejected from Ross once. IDK if this counts as a rejection. Even if she can apply freshman year, she absolutely cannot count on getting in. She has to assume she’d be in LSA all four years. Look at that spreadsheet and decide.
