Admitted Student Day

I read in another thread that there is going to be an admitted student day and there is also going to be an email that will be sent out. I was wondering when the email might come because my mom and I are planning to visit Binghamton. It'd be better for me to visit the campus on student day since it will take about four hours just to go to Binghamton.
ALSO! After getting accepted and paying enrollement deposit, do I need to do something else? Just checking :D

can someone answer me…?

I called today- my daughter was invited to the Multicultural day but we can’t attend- i was told there would be an general acceptance day on APril 18- we are supposed to be getting an e-mail about it. Can’t wait!!!

Watson school of engineering- April 18th

What about Harpur?? Do you guys know any more information about the student day at harpur?

i got an email today about accepted students days on april 10 and april 18. it says there will be a special session for harpur kids

Thanks, CID2010 :)

So is the 10th “Multicultural Day” open to everyone? Or to people of…culture.

I want to go to the actual pre-matriculation orientation, not some special event.

leeduh i’m white/jewish (farthest thing from diverse) and going on the 10th, the email didn’t say anything about it being a multicultural event

So would the orientation on the 18th be the same as the one on the 10th?

I haven’t even heard of the one on the 10th. (If it matters, I was accepted to Harpur)

Orientation and Accepted Students Day are not synonymous. Orientation is typically held during July or August (depending on the session) and is much more specific. After all, if you attend Orientation, it means you already paid your deposit and intend on going to Binghamton! :)

If you’re at all unsure what day you should be going, consider calling the Admissions office or sending them an email. Keep in mind you can always visit the campus for a tour on a different day!

If i’ve already paid my deposit and am enrolled should I still go to accepted students day? Because it seems more for people who haven’t paid their deposit and are still deciding.

I’m headed up on the 10th. As far as Multicultural Day goes… I suppose we’re all multicultured, if you really think about it. Although, I haven’t heard anything about it being Multicultural Day.

On another note… is there any way I would be able to meet with someone from the financial aid office on Saturday? I’d like to rediscuss my package. Should I call in advance?

I never recieved an email about open house…I’m not sure why, because I have recieved emails from Binghamton before. Does it explain anything that will be going on these days of open house? I’m deciding when to go for a visit…

Same here, didn’t get an email.

they cant do anything about your financial aid package. i emailed and called about the same thing and they said they cant do anything more, although i wish

I still did not get the email regarding the admitted student day!! I called and they said that I could just go without the email but then after hanging up, I realized that I do not know what time to go or what time it will be finished and whatnot… There was nothing on their website so I am kinda confused!!!

You can go either Saturday April 10th or Sunday April 18th. It starts at 10am. That’s for freshman - I think it’s different for transfers.

Wait, is admitted students day at Bing? Or is it at some place in the city?

Wow thanks NJboy925, and do you happen to know when it ends???

NuclearTide, I heard that the admitted students day is at at Binghamton. :)
