I assume that Swarthmore has some sort of admitted student visit program - have the dates for this been published?

Yes, there is Ride the Tide, but I dunno when that occurs, I'm sure when you do get admitted it will be a part of the application packet.

It's usually the second or third week of April. You might be able to coax the dates out of the admissions office if you call and plead the need to make airline reservations.

Thanks for the information.

Ride the Tide is 4-20 and 4-21 this year; if anyone has more details such as what time it starts and ends, please post. There is a parent program on the 21st.

Sounds like they are using the same Thurs/Frid. two-day schedule as last year, so this article should help.

Arrive Thursday. Visit classes on Thurs afternoon. Events scheduled Thursday night. Everyone leaves about 2:30 on Friday.

When my daughter went to Ride the Tide after being accepted ED, we just put her on a plane. The whole thing was kind of a "dry run" for going off to college. The event was three days that year and included a group trip to South Street in Phila. one night.

The parent events will be largely the same as those presented during Orientation, so you get a second bite at those if you don't go this time.

I went to the Parent Program last year and enjoyed it. I also liked going through the Activities Fair. I also got a lot of pleasure out of catching sight of my daughter now and then and seeing how excited she looked.
