UMinn is not my first choice but I'm happy to be accepted there and with the right financial aid package, it might work for me. I would love to check it out before making decisions but the airfare from NY seems expensive.

Thoughts on attending Admitted Students days (not just UMinn but any college). I want to know if it's worth the substantial fare. Thanks for any input.

I’m in the same position as you! I’m postponed to UW-Madison which is definitely my first choice but I wouldn’t be unhappy attending Minnesota. I should have my final decision from UW in less than two weeks, so If I get a no, then I’ll probably go to the admitted students day.

I depends what you do at the admitted students day. If it is anything like orientation, which I went to, it would NOT be worth a plane ride over here from New York. In fact, I cannot think of a reason you should pay to fly over here (Unless, of course, you have plenty of money). The vast majority of everything you need to know can be figured out by asking on here, looking at their website, calling/emailing the school/your counselor, and/or finding out for yourself when you get here.

I’m attending the CLA Open House. :] I haven’t visited the university before and thought this would be the ideal chance to check out what it has to offer.
