Alright I think we are in the same boat then, hopefully eventually something will show in my APP Tracker, I think I’ve waited enough but I guess I will know before March :stuck_out_tongue:

For anyone who has already received their scholarship information, how soon after your acceptance did you find out? I was admitted the first week of October and was accepted to the honors program a few weeks ago, but I still haven’t heard anything about scholarships…

Where do you see your results? My son’s only says…“Thank you for applying. We appreciate your interest.”
We used the Golden Gopher application to apply.

My son is still waiting too. He had his complete application and all test scores in by late September. Is it a bad sign that he hasn’t heard yet? We are OOS. So stressful!!!

@DSNJ2016 where are you seeing this? In your application tracker? App trackers that applied before the priority deadline and have not received a response yet are seeing this message:

My son applied in August and this is still how his app tracker reads. In his situation he takes the “no decision” status so far as just meaning he is a borderline candidate (and not clear cut yes or no) and he may not get a final decision until the end of February when they have a better idea of their numbers and if they will have room for him.

@BrewCrew82 Yes, that’s what’s his application tracker says but he applied using the Golden Gopher App…not sure if that is the reason for the different text. He applied in the first week of November and called to check if all required documents have been received.
Can anyone else who applied using ‘Golden Gopher’ tell me where to check the status of submitted app?

@DSNJ2016 the Application Tracker is the same for all applications including GG.

My son used the GG app as well.

The status of your app is in the box with the yellow bar on top (just below the applicant’s email address) that reads (inside the yellow bar):

@Candlewoodgal I’d be surprised if most of the responses have gone out. The Priority Deadline is today and I think we’ll see a lot of decisions getting finalized once this deadline is over.

@BrewCrew82 @Mamelot Thanks for your help! I was definitely looking in the wrong place. No decision yet but at least I know where to look now.

Thanks for you response! We’ll keep our fingers crossed. : )

I applied to CSE, Computer Science late October and have yet to receive a decision. Does anyone think I have a slot?
ACT: 31
GPA: 3.76
Great extra-curricular activities and recommendation letters

The CSE department seems to be the most competitive and University of Minnesota will be the school I will attend if I get in. I am an out-of-state student also. Did anyone get any acceptances yet with similar stats?

@CEOSandeep you have great stats - do you know your class rank?. Here is the freshman profile for the previous year and you are correct that CSE is the most selective college.

Good luck to you!

My daughter had 30 ACT and 4.0 UW/5.8W GPA w/class rank in top 4%. Is your GPA UW or W? What is your class rank.

Does anyone know when merit scholarship information comes out?

@Mamelot My class rank is top 25%. That could be a bad factor.
@CyclonesGrad My GPA is unweighted out of 4.0.
@JerzJim Scholarships are also sent out on a rolling basis. First admitted = First to receive news about scholarships

Minnesota’s average class rank for CSE is 93%-99%. I’m not even close to that range being in the top 25%. What do my chances look like with the ACT of 31?

@CEOSandeep it depends on what else about your application they like. You said you had strong rec. letters. There might be secondary factors, too, in your application which are favorable.

What was your #2 choice of college? They take that into account as well. You haven’t been accepted to CLA yet. I would say there is still hope. Anything north of 30 for ACT with a decent class rank (top 25 is decent in my book) stands an excellent chance of being admitted to at least CLA. And the longer you wait the more you can hope for your first choice college.

Good luck!

@Mamelot I put CSE for both preferences. The first preference was Computer Science, which I undoubtedly prefer, and the second was Biomedical Engineering.
I just wish there was more to show on my application like an option for an essay or an option to submit an expanded resume.

Do you know if they prefer out-of-state students more?
