WashU is my parents' dream for me, but once I got into my California schools, I was like "um...forget that!" I have several friends at WashU, and had I not gotten in anywhere in California, I'd probably be out in St. Louis now, because it is a great school, and it's not like I'm not already used to the weather as it is ;)

After a week of cold and rainy weather in Claremont, it looks as though we're going to have more "back east" weather for the ASP weekend!

Pray to the weather gods for sunshine - - or be prepared to cope with temps in the fifties and occasional rain.

"be prepared to cope with temps in the fifties and occasional rain".
omg up until this week, the weather where I am has been like high 30's, 40ish so I'm excited for 50's!!

yeah, we've had some pretty funky weather these last few days.

today it hailed with 30-40 mph gusts at least twice. it is really strange.... i guess claremont would like to welcome those east-coasters with some hometown weather!

I checked the weather, and it stops raining in Claremont the day I get into LA, and starts up again the day I get back to KC. I think the weather gods are just trying to let me have a happy vacation for once in my life. I can't believe that Missouri is going to be warmer than California though while I'm in Cali. I should've stayed in MO for this weather! It plummets back down into cold oblivion once I get back.

Awesome I love wind. Never get anything in San Diego area wind wise. 20mph is like OMG.

I'm sorry, I'm a dork, but I must share this joke I just read-- (I'm also bored out of mind right now. Still annoyed with studying simple organisms' cardiovascular systems. "simple" my @$$"

Once there was a little boy that lived in the country. They had to use an outhouse, and the little boy hated it because it was hot in the summer and cold in the winter and stank all the time. The outhouse was sitting on the bank of a creek and the boy determined that one day he would push that outhouse into the creek.
One day after a spring rain, the creek was swollen so the little boy decided today was the day to push the outhouse into the creek. So he got a large stick and started pushing. Finally, the outhouse toppled into the creek and floated away.
That night his dad told him they were going to the woodshed after supper. Knowing that meant a spanking, the little boy asked why.
The dad replied, "Someone pushed the outhouse into the creek today. It was you, wasn't it son?"
The boy answered yes. Then he thought a moment and said, "Dad, I read in school today that George Washington chopped down a cherry tree and didn't get into trouble because he told the truth."
The dad replied, "Well, son, George Washington's father wasn't in the cherry tree."

Lol that's awesome

I'll be attending too!

Does anyone have any details on how parking works at HMC? Is there a parking permit to buy if I want to take my car to the campus for the year? How much would it cost, etc?

BTW, great joke :P

aw thanks! I don't know anything about parking, but I look forward to meeting both of you if you'll actually laugh at my stupid, pointless jokes!! :D

I'm rather bored, in case anyone's interested. I was going to suggest we all send pictures, but then I realized that violates the "confidential" part of "college confidential." I was then going to suggest y'all befriend me on Facebook, but once again, that violates the "confidential" part. So I suppose I'll just resign myself to boredom. I leave for LA in... nineteen hours. See y'all soon. Yes I said "y'all." Yes I'm from Missouri. Yes I'm a hick.

Heh, you all (y'all for dncrditzx22 :P) just look for a Black and White MINI Cooper S. That'll be mine, as I live just a scant 15 miles away in Walnut. (erm, does this actually violate the forum rules? Or just the name/point of the forums?)

dcnr, mudd is having a party saturday night at west dorm. you should go.

loki... another great thing about mudd is that parking is absolutely free. you register your car with campus safety within 48 hours of being here and you renew it every year...100% free.

and another great thing....spots are open and they are close!

O-M-G do freshmen get parking?!

Hmm maybe we should have a secret question or something

yeah, freshmen get parking.

secret question?

sweet, I get into Claremont Saturday. How do I get to the West dorm from Pomona? I'm staying at... ah crap I can't remember the dorm name. Starts with an H. I'd know it if I saw it.
and Loki, I LOVE Mini Coopers!! I've always wanted one, esp. after I saw the Italian Job. They're adorable cars.
and what do you mean by "secret qstn", Slak?

dncr, head north until you hit harvey mudd. (10-15 minute walk)

follow your ears

we just picked 3000 lbs of lemons for the party....

Yea, they were all out over the courtyard between South and West. You almost hit me with some Graham ;). Or was that you?

tahir, i would not aim for you.

you should check out west's courtyard....or for that matter, right outside my door!
