Admitted-Students trip?

<p>With regard to the WUStL weekend, it's billed as a "Multicultural Celebration Weekend." You can draw your own conclusions from there;I don't feel like being so explicit.</p>

<p>The reason it's billed as a "Multicultural Celebration Weekend" and not as an "Admitted Students Weekend" is in part to help erase the stigma that the Midwest (St. Louis) has a homogenous population; if you read the site you'd see that it is pretty much exactly the same as Penn Previews.</p>

<p>In regards to why a college would pay for a weekend like that, it's simple- to attract more students.</p>
