The passwords are always the names of the various labelled plants on the Swat campus. You are supposed to try to find "your plant" on campus, but I don't know if my daughter ever found hers or not.

Every new student gets their own plant for their dorm room from the arboretum during orientation.

If I recall, ED acceptees get a "we haven't forgotten about you" mailing sometime around April 1st with the password and login info for the admitted students' website along with information for the Ride the Tide accepted students' visit.

I received the letter that interesteddad mentioned in late February, but they didn't specify a website or password. They did mention that they would be sending more information come March, however.

Thanks, ID. It's always good to here that something's imminent, rather than that we missed it. We did get a "we haven't forgotten about you" mailing number 1 in March, as Topper said, that came with a teeshirt and a quick "save the date" for Ride the Tide, and now we will look forward to the "we haven't forgotten about you" letter number 2 with the website info.

Heh, my password's also the name of a tree. I didn't realize it until you mentioned it though. I just looked at it and thought, "Hmm... now, is that Latin?" haha.

Hmm let's see... the sheet says that it doesn't go up until Sat. March 19th. If I ever find time before then, I shall go check it out before then, but I've got many subjects of hw and a tournament to prepare for... :-P

Hey, achat. Thanks! Only thing is, I didn't apply ED to any schools. The anguish that I had dealing with Columbia was over a letter of recommendation fiasco about a month ago (one of my teachers wrote a copy several times, since he's got this weird habit of not saving things, but the secretary lost them and then found them, but in the meanwhile I had to get another teacher to write a rec). But all that is done with.

Now I'm looking forward to doing more research on the Swarthmore area, planning my second visit there, and waiting to see if any other letters will arrive. :)
