Admitted to Liberal Arts Core then to Tisch?

Hello!
Thank the Lord I was accepted, but I'm a little confused. I applied for film and television at Tisch, and got my acceptance letter... But instead of Tisch I got into the Core Liberal Arts program, which I never applied to.

But my acceptance letter says that if I "remain in good academic standing" then I will be "guaranteed" acceptance into Tisch.

1) why would I be put into Liberal Arts if I'm going to be put into Tisch next year anyways.
2) what defines "good academic standing"
3) does that mean I have to graduate in 5-7 years?
4) will i be a liberal arts major that changed into a film major?
5) will it be a double major?

Thanks all :) happy to be along for the ride!

Hello!
I received the same acceptance.
1.) I’m not entirely sure, but I’m guessing it means we weren’t as strong as the other applicants, and they want us to have a stronger liberal arts education first.
2.) Good academic standing to go into Tisch your sophomore year would be a GPA of 2.0
3.) It means you graduate in four years! However, we have to take Tisch classes the Summer of 2014 to catch up.
I have no idea for 4 and 5
