I applied for biomedical engineering, but on my letter it only says I’ve been accepted to the College of Engineering…does this mean I’ve not been accepted or I choose my major after freshman year?

just curious...did you get anything in the mail, or just the email ?

Mine said the same thing, but when I did the Housing Survey, it said major as Aersopace Engineering (which is what I want). I think you don't have to officially declare until later.

You don't get accepted into a major. You apply to a school and that school accepts or rejects you. You applied to the College of Engineering and were accepted to the College of Engineering. You will therefore begin your freshman year at BU in ENG with a major in biomed eng. If you put a major down on your application, that will be your officially declared major. This is what will be on all your records and you will be assigned an adviser for your major (though ENG might use the same advisors for all majors within the school).

Thanks Devilsrule

Yay a BME!

Just to clarify about ENG majors. They have different advisors in different departments. You could always switch though, it's not too hard.
