Admitted to McGill!

After waiting endlessly since January 28,2012, I was finally accepted to McGill as of last friday! The thing is, even though I got early acceptance I didn't really feel all psyched up and proud, which is weird considering that its my first admittance.

Here are my stats to those wondering if they have a shot at McGill:
I'm a canadian student in my grade 12 year
SAT: 1960 (CR:550, WR: 700, Math: 710, Essay: 10)
SAT II: 650 Bio E, 710 Math LII
GPA: 4.75 / 5 as of my grade 11 year (highest GPA in school)
Percent: 90% average (ranked about 37/350 students in my school)

What I'm trying to show is that you don't need perfect SAT scores or really high grades to get in, all you need to have is close to the minimum requirements (which can be found on the mcgill website). My % was a tad low than the minimum but I was still accepted! anything is possible. As of now, 6 students from my school have been early accepted to mcgill, one of whom takes regular courses with a pretty good mark getting accepted to bioresource engineering.

I have a question though. I was admitted to Chemical Engineering which is my second choice. I have yet to hear from Life Sci, Biomed program.
Anyone know if I am able to transfer programs from engineering to sciences? My marks currently averages about 90% in my 5 AP courses.

Good luck! also congrats to all others who were accepted!
