My app was completed on May 3rd. I got my decision last week.

So maybe you'll hear back next week?

My app was completed on May 3rd. I got my decision last week.

So maybe you'll hear back next week?

yeah, judging by you guys, it looks like it takes about a month

That sucks. I just paid for my transcript today (another $7 down the drain) and I'll get it Friday. Send it then, they will probably get it and process the transcript by the following Friday, and I won't hear from them till next semester :(

Perhaps it'll take less time since the majority of the students applied earlier?

bball - did you get into UChigago?

i'm sure someone's already said this and my apologies for not searching that out, but my school was late with grades and NU only just confirmed getting my transcript. when is the earliest you think i can hear?

Yes---i was admitted to Uchicago

I don't know that it goes off when you turned things in...my application was completed on March 3rd, and I still haven't heard. Of course, I'm also probably a very borderline applicant.

I think it goes off of whenever they have everything including the transcript. So if you're trying to transfer in to be a sophomore Ella then your app might not have been complete till mid-late May.

btw...when I emailed them, they said 3-4 weeks after it was complete they would have a decision.

yeah it's when all parts are mailed in, i'm transferring as a sophomore and i finished really early so my spring transcripts were received on may 16, my application i actually turned in back in february.

what are your stats ella that you say you are borderline, by the way?

by the way, for those of you who are admitted, does your decision show up on this website? https://ugadm.northwestern.edu/application/

No, my decision did not show up on the website, in fact it still doesn't show up.

I kinda like that because it was such a surprise to get the package in the mail. I'd much rather see the package than a screen. But that's just me.

Yeah, I'm applying to transfer as a junior, though I mailed my final transcript about 3 weeks ago anyway. I'm sort of confused by why I haven't heard yet - I really think it'd because I'm very borderline, mostly due to my high school grades.

My stats:
College: Loyola Marymount University
GPA: 3.64
HS GPA: 2.7
SAT I: 770/640
SAT II: 640 (W), 740 (M), 710 (L)
Lots of ECs, Division I athlete, worked during school year, etc.

I don't know if this will comfort anyone but in an email I was told that I "can expect a decision by July 4th at the latest", so I guess that's their deadline.

ella you are about where i stand, and i'm transferring in as a sophomore so my high school matters even more:

College: Indiana University
GPA: 3.74 (w/ unweighted honors classes)
HS GPA: 2.8
SAT I: 790V 690M
SAT II: N/A
ECS: fraternity, volunteer chair, not really that much
