My child applied early in October, was deferred in December and this past Friday (2/12)was just accepted. Her 7th semester grades were strong - A/A-s, 4/5 AP classes. I usually don't post, but I wanted those of you with deferrals to have some hope, particularly those with the 'bad' deferral letters. I actually think rating these letters as good vs. bad doesn't make any sense. In a past thread, someone posted all 3 letters, and actuallyl the 'bad' one sounded better than the middle one. The fact that my daughter heard before some of you with the 'good' letter suggests that ranking these letters maybe a myth. Anyway...best of luck to everyone!

Thanks for sending this post juniorparent. I am sure there are plenty of applicants who were glad to see it!
