hey I'm going. Do we wanna make like the Yalies and meet up while we're there? or would that be considered lame....:P

No offense, but if I were going, I wouldn't want to formally gather a group of people I talk to on the internet.

It's better to meet people as you go, I'd say. Preplanning a meeting tends to limit the people you meet, because you're more inclined to just stay with your group instead of meet new people.

Yeah, I'm not planning to meet anyone from online.

I'm probably just going to get to know the group of kids assigned to the same host and hosts in a similar area of the dorm we're in. Well, and anyone else who happens to come out on Tuesday night with us to have a great time.

My flight leaves in 21 hours.

I'm leaving tomorrow at 9am on the drive.

I just bought my Amtrak ticket (#174)!! I'll be boarding at Metropark.

I don't think we should plan to meet. If we spontaneously run into one another, that's pretty cool, but if not, we're bound to meet at some point over the next 4 years.

(But if you like, we can post pictures of ourselves so we know what we look like.

i'm really jealous of y'all....lol...have fun though..!!

yah.. me too.. I wanna come! well have fun without me =)

Aghhh... i'm kinda freaking out, because I thought my parents RSVP'd... and then it turns out they didn't and it's now past the deadline. Do you think I'd be able to just show up and register when I get there? oh please please please....

Liz, its probably just a courtesy. They'll just throw you with one of the hosts and they'll have one extra kid.

It just becomes a problem if 100 kids don't register and just show up. They probably use the RSVP as a way to get a sense of how many hosts they need.

I'd feel strange about meeting people from online in real life.

i'm going on wed

here's a question for all you lucky individuals who've had the opportunity to visit brown...would you mind sharing your thoughts about your first impression of the place...since i haven't visited myself and have only heard a little bit from teachers/counselors...i'd really appreciate a student's opinion...i've been to columbia, harvard, and princeton...how does brown's campus compare with theirs?...just so i can get an idea...thanks!
