How many ED people are going to ADOCH?

See subject please. I got in ED, and I am still ambivalent about going to ADOCH. After all, I am definitely going to Brown and don’t really need to see it for myself.

You should definitely go anyway. When I went last year (as an RD still deciding) there were lots of ED kids there. You get a head-start on making friends, checking out student activities, getting a feel of the campus, seeing dorms, etc. It's a great experience.

Should I bring my parents or is it better to go alone?

probably want to go alone

I'm going.

I heard from someone who is at Brown now that ADOCH is where people first start making friends, and even if you got in early it is really important to go. That way, when you show up on campus for the first time, you know people/buildings.

Besides, why would you NOT want to spend a couple days at Brown?

Definitely come alone. You'll be freer to do whatever you want and be yourself without your parents hanging along. They can see more of the campus when they move you in for orientation and during parents' weekend.

Aha thanks. Do they give out free stuff like sweatshirts?

I wish! They didn't last year, but maybe they have other plans this year... I didn't get a car decal with my admissions packet, either, but apparently you guys did?

A car decal did come with it, but I want a sweatshirt, and why should a student have to pay $50 for paraphernalia? Alas, I will end up paying that sum indeed.

Who will be taking the train home (southbound) from Providence and which train will that be?

I haven't gotten a car decal...will I get one after sending in my deposit?
