I’m taking an Amtrak train from Stamford up to Providence on Monday. That much is taken care of. But does Brown run some kind of shuttle from the station to campus? Or is the distance walkable?

Thanks all.

The distance is super-walkable. As in for debate, we always meet at the van Wickle Gates about 20-30 minutes before our train leaves, and walk down to the station (and usually arrive with 5-15 minutes to spare). Or if you don’t want to walk up the hill, you can take a cab for ~$4.

I believe some of the ADOCH people are heading dow to the Amtrak station to walk up with you guys. If they’re not there, it’s an easy walk and a really cheap cab ride. For the cab or Google maps, you want to go to the corner of Brown and Waterman streets, and you’ll be able to check in on the Main Green!

I’m riding a Peter Pan bus from Boston Logan Airport to Providence. Does anyone have any advice about how it runs? Like where I’ll be dropped off, etc? Any help would be appreciated :)

I think that that Peter Pan bus (the one from Logan) takes you to the Providence bus depot, and then you catch a shuttle (just another bus, for free) to Kennedy Plaza in downtown Providence. It’s a quick (but uphill) walk or cab ride from there: [Washington at Kennedy Plaza to Waterman St & Brown St, Providence, RI 02906 - Google Maps](<a href=“Google Maps”>Google Maps)

The Peter Pan bus from Logan stops at both the Bonanza bus stop (which is about a 10 min drive from campus) and the Kennedy Plaza (15 min walk from campus). You should get off at Kennedy Plaza and then walk.

Actually, the Peter Pan bus might only let off at Bonanza bus stop. I know you can take it to Boston from Kennedy Plaza though.

Thank you so much for your help!

I have heard there is a commuter-type train from Logan to Providence for $7. Don’t know if that would be easier or cheaper than the Peter Pan bus.

The commuter rail goes from South Station to Providence for around 8 dollars. You have to first take the Silver Line from Logan Airport to South Station.
