Advancing to robotics national championships

Hey guys!

Not sure where to post this so I’ll just go ahead and post it here. Which awards can you win at the super regionals that will qualify you for nationals? Like does the Motivate or the Inspire award guarantee you a position at nationals?

Dean’s finalist award, Design award, Finalist Award and one more award that alludes me at the moment.

And it’s regionals not super regionals.

You may refer to chief delphi for more details.

At first I thought I had found other FRC members on CC…now I’m not sure whether this is FRC or FTC. I’m guessing FTC? Anyway, if this is FRC, the ways to qualify are:

  1. Being a team on the winning alliance (3 teams)
  2. Winning Chairman’s (1 team)
  3. Winning Engineering Inspiration (1 team)
  4. Wildcard at a regional (any Hall of Fame teams or teams that had already won a regional create a wildcard passed to the captain → first pick → second pick on the finalist alliance)
  5. Wildcard later (to fill in spaces)

This is only for teams competing in regionals…I still don’t get how districts work, but I guess I’ll find out next year? (in CA)

Dean’s list lets the winner compete at Dean’s list at the national level, but doesn’t qualify the team.

Note that this year champs has 600 teams (instead of 400). Chief Delphi has a lot of useful information but isn’t official, so make sure to check usfirst.org to verify what you read there.

Good luck to your team, in whichever competition you’re in!

@Andr01d I’m in FRC also!

I should have been more specific, I’m referring to FTC.

@snowfairy137‌ cool! If you’re okay with sharing it, what team are you on? (I’m on 1868)

@Veritas13‌ oops, sorry.

But I thought I’d add this since I found a mistake in my awards list:
Rookie All Star (for rookie teams only) also qualifies an FRC team for champs.
