Any thoughts?? Thanks so much. I really appreciate it!

Teddy DeVico, impressive stuff man. I’ve always wanted to meet T Keller haha

You’re definitely in as far as the Hotel school goes, but I would recommend leaving out some of the less important activities/internships when you’re filling out your application. You want them to focus on the good stuff and not get distracted by everything else.

Do well on your interview, write a solid essay and you’re guaranteed a spot.

Good luck man

Wow! TONS of work experience which is great. You have some notable awards too. Like the person above me said, just do well on our interview and write a really good essay. Maybe improve on your CR and Math score and GPA, but you’re doing well. What are your classes like? It helps to know if they’re Honors/AP/IB.

Thanks for the responses jtwinkies and pch340. I am taking mostly honors and ap classes with a few accelerated classes. (accelerated is in between honors and college prep)

With all your accolades I feel that you have a very high shot at getting into this school. I think if you write a very good essay and keep a high SAT and GPA you will have no trouble getting in

Your experience is really amazing and your passion is so obviously food. One question. Wouldn’t you be a better fit for the culinary institute?

I do love cooking and food, however, I am also equally as passionate about service and making people happy. My goal, if accepted into Cornell, is to have a concentration in food and beverage management. Then afterwards, EVENTUALLY become a restauranteur.

Maybe what you could include in your app is their partnership with the Culinary Institute of America. I’m not sure how much you researched, but this is a pretty well known fact among most applicants (I would assume) and something they bring up at your visit.

I am well aware of the CIA and Cornell alliance. It is a consideration, assuming I get in, but I feel I would not have enough time for internships or study abroad programs. Plus the extra money will go straight into student loans. I would not make a definite decision until/if I get into Cornell.

apply as a transfer, and you will get in…

do you mean go to cia, and then apply as a transfer?
if so, too risky
