<p>i got the waiting list for both academies. i sent the exeter letter so that's simple and done. i still need to call andover,</p>
<p>what sort of questions will they ask me? </p>
<p>if i say 'i am waitlisted at another school' will they push and ask what the other school is? of course then, i would have to tell the truth and say 'exeter' ...would that ruin my chances off the waiting list?</p>

<p>There should be no need to even tell them you’re waitlisted at another school. Just tell them you’re still interested in pursuing a spot. If they ask you if you were waitlisted at another school, just say you aren’t comfortable letting them know. Hopefully they’ll understand.</p>
<p>However, do NOT lie in the event they ask you. If somehow a student gets acceptances from more than one waitlist school through giving the schools the impression that they are all the student’s top choice, each waitlist spot the student does not accept is a spot that could have gone to another worthy student.</p>

<p>i think andover will most likely figure out i’m referring to exeter, so best just so it. truthfully my strategy is to go with the school that offers me a spot (first), if i’m lucky to come off the waitlist at either school. unlikely but i think it is worth pursuing.</p>
