Advice Before Entering Pre-Med?

Hi there! I am a junior in high school who is hoping to do Pre-Med in college. I love being prepared so any advice on how I should handle Pre-Med/study for MCAT/make myself appealing to medical schools would be really helpful! Thanks!

Get in to a 4 year university first, then worry what you need to do to be appealing to Medical schools. As a college undergraduate, you want to have a competitive GPA (3.7+), High MCAT scores and have some Medically related EC’s.
In HS, you want to take a challenging HS schedule which includes Biology/Chemistry and Physics along with at least Pre-Calc/Calculus courses. You might want to do some volunteering in a Nursing home or Hospital to get some first hand experience in dealing with people in a medical setting.

Thanks for your advice! Next year I was hoping to take AP Biology and AP Physics - do you recommend only doing one or should I go ahead with both?

Taking 2 AP science classes could be overwhelming in homework. I would suggest AP Biology and consider either a Honors Physics or Regular Physics instead. You do not need to take every AP Science Class to get into a good University.
