Ok, I'm a student at Akins High School in Austin, Texas. I am a Freshman and wanted to try to get ready to apply at Louisiana State Univ. How would i be able to do that.

1 would be take the most challenging courses and get good grades

Ok but, what if I wanted to go apply for LSU. What GPA would I need to go to another college in another state.

Right now I am in 2 pre-AP classes and passing all of my classes is that a good start.

Well that depends. Does passing all your classes mean you have As and Bs with a few scattered Cs, a 60.1% D- in all of them, or what?

You might want to start by reading a book on college admissions, in order to get an overview of how the process works. Fr year is a great time to begin understanding what colleges look for as it gives you time to plan your classes, testing, etc. I recommend: Admission Matters by Sally Springer. I found it at our local library, it also can be purchased at most bookstores.

OP, I would recommend you be more cautious about revealing information that can be used to more easily identify you IRL. The CC community can help you without knowing which high school you go to in which town in Texas. In most cases, we don’t even really need to know you live in Texas.

I’m passing all my classes with the highest score two 100
and my lowest is a 76. The rest are around 80’s and like two mid-90’s.
Would that be a good start to try to apply

KidFame - you can google LSU admissions requirements yourself. [Freshman/Dual Admission](http://www.lsu.edu/paurec/freshman.shtml)
