Hi! I'm curious if anyone has any advice on what I should do to improve my chances of getting in to Tulane in 2 years.

Looking at your other posts it looks like you have a good plan in the works. (taking hard classes and getting good grades)
I’d suggest registering at [College Board](http://www.collegeboard.com) and sign up for the emailed Question of the Day to get a jump start on the SAT.
Tulane is very big on volunteerism and community service so don’t wait for your last semester like DS did.
Finally, you should definitely check out their honors program.
Good luck!

definitely take the SAT/ACT maybe not too soon but definitely do not wait until your senior year. Some say not to take it too early simply because you could be intimidated, for me however, i really got a better feel for the tests and gradually got more and more comfortable with taking it (although i never actually got what i wanted). Also, something that i think most do not consider but it is important, over the next two years look for teachers which you think would write you a good letter of recommendation but if you do all that you are supposed to in school this should come easily. Get involved with extracirriculars, not too many but enough. And get your application in early. My experiences with college applications was less than pleasant and now i wish that i would have started earlier-- that is not so much tulane adivce as it is general advice but hopefully it helps!

Take the most vigorous coursework possible.
Pick some activities and stick with them all 4 years. It doesn’t matter what the activity is (band, orchestra, choir, newspaper, yearbook, debate, a sport, etc.), just that you are passionate about it and put forth the time and effort.
Take the SAT 2-3 times and I would recommend taking a prep class to prepare.
Take AP tests, but actually STUDY for them. I didn’t study for any of mine sophmore year, and I really regret it now not being able to claim credit. Even a a few hours the week before the test should help alot!!
