I'm president for my mu alpha theta club in school and this is my first year. I am so confused! I just don't know what to do for this club because it's not like it's a charity or fundraising club. So any ideas what to do with a math club? I mean we are already doing the Mandelbrot competition and AMC but what else is there?

Two words: Pi day.

Like what would I do on pi day?

Sell pie slices for fundraiser at lunches. I was about to say make them cost $3.14 but that would be kind of expensive and weird to give change for. Maybe take icing and write 3.14 on each slice? Or just draw the symbol for pi on each?

well, my old school did it all out. Like, have "Pi" day t shirts for all math team members, etc, give out cookies with the symbol, Idk, you can prob google online for more ideas...

Our Mu Alpha Theta coordinates the math-tutoring at my school.. :)

For Pi day you could have a ton of competitions. See who can make the best math poem, who can recite pi the furthest, etc.

Also, you can set up a tutoring center on Saturdays. Talk to your MAT adviser about it; she'll probably just have you talk to Administrators about using the building on a Saturday. If the administration allows it, make sure to advertise the heck out of it
