I will be a Freshman Biology major at Cal Poly SLO this fall and I do intend to go to Med School. Any advice for a freshman premed student?

study your ass off

Keep your grades up, preferably above a 3.5 using every resource available to you. Some people have an easier time others don’t. Start thinking about good medicine related volunteering you can. Keep an eye on the pre-req’s and make sure your on track to meet and exceed them. Lastly it’s never to early to start studying for the MCAT’s, which are HUGE for med school.

I’m a biochem major soon to be a freshman and also intend to be pre-med but my brother is a second year med student at USC and he knows a thing or two about the process.
