I am currently a class of 15 senior in high school and I am wondering which test I should retake in the fall the SAT or the ACT. I've taken both the tests and I scored slightly better on the ACT (26) than the SAT (1650). I believe I enjoyed the ACT more because of the straightforwardness and the section predictability.

ACT Scores:
24 English
25 Math
30 Reading
23 Science
Unknown writing yet

SAT Scores:
590 Critical Reading
570 Math
490 writing with an 8 on the essay

Which one would be smarter to retake? Probably the ACT right? I want either a 28 on the ACT or a 1925 on the SAT, which one is more easily obtainable? I know I have to put in a lot of work and study, but I want the realistic chance of gaining ground on a particular test faster.

Which books are the best for the ACT? I currently own The Real ACT book by the makers of the ACT. I understand that doing practice tests is the best way to study and learn the material; however, I want more of a strategy guide and complete content review + more practice tests. Books that focus more strongly on English and Science would be helpful.

If you think that I should take the SAT again, which books would help me the most with the writing section? Which I severely lack in.

I want to get into UGA, but I understand that is a reach. Other instate schools seem to be in reach such as Georgia Southern, Georgia State, GCSU. What do you think the odds of getting into one of these schools with the scores I have currently, plus a 3.75 Hope GPA. Unweighted GPA is around a 3.7 and my weighted GPA is 3.9. I would have taken 6 AP courses during high school.
