I was recently deferred from my number one, my 'dream school', Wellesley :( I'm not completely devastated b/c I understand that I still do have some chance at acceptance. However, since Wellesley is where I REALLY want to be next year I was curious to see if any of you in this community could offer some advice to what I might do in order to 'boost my chances' in RD. All advice is much appreciated...Happy holidays!

Read your letter for any indication of what they want to see occur. Consider your own application, what were your strengths and weaknesses. Keep your grades up. Best wishes.

Thanks for the advice :-) Would you recommend writing an additional/letter essay to reitterate interest and strengths?

I would think a letter re-stating your interest in the school and your qualifications would be a good move. Include in it any new information (recent awards, news paper articles) Remember no one school is the only school, but continue to work toward your goal of a great education.
