Advice needed from cc transfers to top schools

I'm currently at a cc where they prefer you declare your major right away since its only a two year school. Although you could change your major, I personally would rather not have to do this and just pick the most strategic option. In the future I plan to apply as a transfer student to some Ivies and other reach schools. My concern is the following: in terms of academics, do these schools prefer that you have taken a wide range of courses or focused on your major?

Right now I am a business major and the next 2 years I am required to take lots of business, accounting, economics and finance courses along with some science, English, math, and social science. But the bulk of my classes will be business oriented.

I've looked into the liberal arts major that is offered and the requirements are lots of social sciences, English, and general knowledge stuff that doesn't really train you in a specific field. It is not too late to change majors but I want to know if schools like Yale and GW have a preference between being well rounded and having specific knowledge in a particular field. (I know Yale and GW are very different I was just using them as examples of a reach and 50-50 school. Would a reach prefer something different than a 50-50 school?)

The thing is that I always thought of college as the time to explore different avenues. I wanted to take a wide variety of courses and all of a sudden I had to pick a major. I feel I am missing out on the exploration part of my college experience because although I like and enjoy learning about business and finance I would also like the opportunity to explore other fields, for personal growth, like psychology and government. If I have to forgo this, I suppose could live with it, I just don't want it to affect me when trying to transfer.
I don't want it to seem like I just took courses that benefited me because of my major-(they're actually the graduation requirements at the college) and that I didn't explore other course offerings. (I can't take other classes because basically the 4 semesters are planned out with what classes I will take to meet graduation requirements and I have no room for anything else unless I take six courses per semester)

I would really appreciate the advice of successful transfer students.
Thanks!
