So I took IGCSE last( I got 2 A+, 2 A and 3 ) last year in Sudan and I came to the US to applyfor college (I’m a US citizen). Many people told me that I have to do SATs in order to make things easier so I got the blue book and started prep. First time I took SATs was in May, didn’t do good. I retook it in October i didn’t study at all. We had family issues :(. Now I took it earlier today and I was sick I don’t think I did great.
Btw my hightest score was 480 CR and W 530 for math. I think I can do better but I honestly I lost motivation. I used to get straight As in high school
Should I give it a try in December again or should I try ACT.
Btw I am ESL and I am willing to apply to TAMU , UT , And UH
Maybe Rice but not with those grades
Some people are simply not good test takers. I would suggest to take some time off and refocus on what you need to do. You did not provide your stats but you would need a minimum 2000 to get into UT or Rice. A 1800 for TAMU. Depending on your other stats you could get into UofH with what you have. Clear your head and refocus on the task at hand. Then do the absolute best you can on the test and understand your score will determine were you can go to school. Best of luck to you.

Thanks Grainraiser.
Yeah I think my gpa is around 3.6 since we don’t do gpa in sudan I calculated it on my own !!
And I did a lot of activities like broadcasting at my school’s ceremonies. Was the soccer team captain… Etc. Also did some community service.
But you are right I think I have lost focus !!
